What do I need to get started?

Textbooks

If your manuscript is complete, send us a copy for review and suggestions. Keep a copy for yourself.

Send us your MSS in whatever form you have it. We accept computer files, handwritten copy, cut and paste collages from varied sources, and marked-up copies of older editions. Whatever you send, we will convert it into a book!

Include
1. Table of Contents so we can navigate your material
2. Suggestions about a cover design or perhaps a favorite image you would like to have included in the cover

Anthology
Prepare photocopies of each article, enough bibliographic information so we can contact the original copyright holders and a table of contents.

Any original material you may want to include, articles you’ve written, assignment material etc, can be sent later.

Select a title — something other than Readings in American History. Suggest a cover design or include a favorite image you want included in the cover.

Use a delivery method requiring a signature—FedEx, UPS, USPS return receipt service.

Lab Manual
If the manual exists in some form send us a copy with any available computer files.

If the labs are being written for each chapter send

1. Computer file and hard copy
2. Separate list of figures, tables and charts for our art department
3. Photocopies of suggestions for illustrations
4. If you are including photographs, include a copy with the labels you want to appear.

Please include information about any copyright holders we need to contact for permission.

Coursepacks
